Since its inception in 1999, the World Airport Awards have been independent, fair, and cover a wide range of customer satisfaction surveys worldwide. The awards evaluate customer service and facilities at over 570 airports globally and are recognized as the quality benchmark for the airport industry.

The awards are based on airport customer surveys filled out by travelers of over 100 nationalities during the survey period from August 2023 to March 2024. The survey evaluated customer experiences across all key performance indicators from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security/immigration to gate departure.
