Korea Baseball League's Explosive Start: Advertising Media interest reaches New Heights
The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) announced that the opening games of the 2025 KBO League, held on March 23, were completely sold out across all five stadiums nationwide in South Korea. This marks a historic first, with all games of the opening double-header selling out for the first time.
Notably, Seoul-Jamsil Baseball Stadium, hosting LG Twins vs. Lotte Giants, welcomed 23,750 spectators, while Incheon Munhak Stadium, where SSG Landers faced Doosan Bears, drew 23,000 fans.
Over two days, a total of 219,900 fans attended the ten games across the country, surpassing the 2019 record of 214,324. This achievement follows last year's milestone when Korean professional baseball first exceeded one million spectators, indicating a continued surge in popularity.
The explosive interest in professional baseball has also sparked intense demand among advertisers for Advertising Media Spaces at Seoul-Jamsil and Incheon stadiums, operated by the Korea Economic Daily.
As the league continues to attract massive audiences, it is expected to maintain its momentum this year, building on the success of previous seasons.
