Seoul Incheon Airport Scores Triple Win at Global Airport Experience Summit
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced that it achieved a rare triple recognition at the 7th Airport Experience Summit, organized by Airports Council International (ACI) in Guangzhou, China.
The airport secured the highest-level certification in customer experience for the fourth consecutive year, won the “Best Airport” award in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, and attained Level 1 in the Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation (AEA) scheme.

Incheon first became the world’s pioneer in earning the top Level 5 certification for customer experience in 2022, and has since successfully renewed it every year. This year’s review highlighted the airport’s progress in digital innovation across the passenger journey, its stakeholder-based CX ecosystem, and advanced tools such as persona modeling and customer journey mapping.
Operational improvements also stood out, including the launch of a dedicated Smart Pass departure hall, the expansion of self-bag drop services using facial recognition, the rollout of off-airport baggage drop facilities, and the provision of real-time queuing information at departure gates.
At the same ceremony, Incheon Airport was named Best Airport under ACI’s ASQ program, which surveys passengers at more than 380 airports worldwide to measure satisfaction through in-depth interviews. Incheon previously dominated the ASQ rankings from 2005 to 2016 with 12 consecutive wins, and since rejoining the program in 2023, has reclaimed the top spot for two straight years.

The airport also achieved its first-ever AEA Level 1 certification this year, signaling formal recognition of efforts to improve accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.
Lee Hak-jae, president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, emphasized the collaborative achievement: “These honors reflect the dedication of our employees, partner agencies, and airport family. We will continue to focus on integrating digital technologies and enhancing passenger convenience to present a model of airport services accessible to all.”
Incheon’s performance underscores its continued leadership in global airport standards, combining innovation, inclusivity, and passenger-first design to remain a benchmark for the industry.
