KOEBA, Celebrating 30 Years of DOOH in Korea
KOEBA’s past 30 years were the history of the development of Digital OOH advertising in Korea.
The Korea Electric Board Broadcasting Association (KOEBA) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a ceremony at the Korea Advertising Culture Center in Seoul on 22th March in Seoul, Korea.
The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries and industry leaders who congratulated KOEBA on its achievements and contributions to DOOH advertising indusrty in Korea.
Woo Changhoon, KOEBA President, in his welcoming speech, said "KOEBA’s past 30 years were the history of the development of Digital OOH advertising in Korea, which has grown from nine founding members in 1992 to 150 active members today."
And he said “The record of our brilliant 30-year history will be the driving force that will lead us to the future, and We will continue to work hard to promote and innovate DOOH advertising industry in Korea and beyond.”
Kim Daewon, KOEBA Vice president said, “We published this book to to summarize the history of KEBBA, which marks its 30th anniversary this year. We hope KOEBA will be at the center of writing a new history of DOOH advertising industry in Korea”
The ceremony also featured congratulatory messages from Tom Goddard, Chairman of the World Out of Home Organization (WOO), Kim Nakhoe, president of the Korea Advertising Federation (KAF), Choi Youngkyun, president of the Korea Outdoor Advertising Association (KOAA), and Yeo Hyunho, director of the Korea Outdoor Advertising Center (KOAC).
Tom Goddard, Chairman of the World Out of Home Organization said "KOEBA are doing a great job for the Korean OOH community. KOEBA's members have worked hard and passionately to make digital billboards a key OOH media format that delivers public information and brand promotion. KEBBA work is very important for the whole advertising sector."
And he added, "That’s why I’m honored that you joined the World Out of Home Organization as the first Korean OOH organization. I’m excited to see what more you can achieve with Digital OOH technology and innovation in Korea."
